Picking up pennies

For years I’ve had the habit of picking up every penny every bit of change I see on the ground. Not too proud to stop and pick up one penny on the ground.

I’m not doing it out of a sense of prosperity, if I say my pennies the dollars will follow kind of thing.

It’s actually acknowledging childhood bullying. In my high school years we had a mentally challenged kid in my class. I remember other students would toss pennies and nickels on the ground and he would sing for them. He probably thought he was their friend. I didn’t participate but I didn’t stop it either. So I’ve always thought of Eddie every time I stopped to pick up a penny.

Every penny.

I’m trying something different this year. I’m reading and recommending this book called “One Small Step can change your life”. It is really encouraging and stimulating much more so yeah it’s much more so than trying that cycle of ‘let me change these 10 things for the New Year and I’ve got all this hope and initiative.’ That’s why weight watchers and gym memberships go way up in January you were and by February their attendance is back to normal . Read this book 1st. It’s worth it. If you’re in the Florida West Palm Beach area I will give you one of these books for free.
